"I started coming to BACD about a year ago for concerns related to aging and sun damage. I am 60 years old. I had Botox and Juvaderm treatments before, but I was interested in newer products that were being used by Dermatologist's, currently. I have exclusively seen Dr Austin. She is a top teaching Dr. with so much knowledge, experience, and expertise in skin related care and issues. I have had zero issues with booking and confirming my appointments. I always receive emails and texts, letting me know of my appointment status. When I arrive, the reception staff is always kind, efficient and helpful. In December I decided to take GLP1 to lose 30 lbs. I started at 180lbs. I am now at 152 lbs. I was told, by friends, and the media, that that much rapid weight loss could affect my skin around the neck, jawline, and face. I wasn't too worried, though because I knew that I had already been practicing a very good skin care routine and excellent filler and Xeomin results, based on my visits with Dr. Austin. I am completely thrilled that my skin, especially on my face and neck, is an excellent shape! I am on a maintenance routine with filler and Xeomin at this point. I highly recommend Dr Austin and BACD. She is kind, gentle, and very experienced and knowledgeable. All the staff are helpful and wonderful at what they do!"

"Dr Austin took my decent mid-50's skin and flagging self-esteem and made them really, really great. She flawlessly filled old acne scars, removed pre-cancer bits and rosacea, smoothed wrinkles, snatched up my jawline and explained how anatomy and biochem work during my visits. "I have been seeing Dr. Austin for 4 years now. I initially saw her when I was experiencing some difficult to treat acne in my early 20s. She listened to my concerns and really educated me on proper skin care. Since then she has continued to help provide new products/recommendations based on my needs at that time. I have also been seeing her for filler and botox treatments for the past two years. She has always listened to what I wanted and given me incredible results. She keeps things natural and really has an amazing eye for the face and facial structure. Beyond her work, she is a really incredible doctor. "This review is for Dr. Austin and her amazing staff! As a skincare professional I am very careful who I see for aesthetic procedures, and who I refer clients to. Dr. Austin is really the best of the best. She has an extremely good eye for detail and is very modest and intentional with her approach. I decided to stay out of the sun since my late 20s when I finally stopped going to the tanning salon (!!!). I also decided rather late in life to finally take care of my skin.I *almost* didn’t want to write this review about Dr. He, fearful that he will get so busy I’ll have to book appointments with him at least a month in advance! Yes, I know that’s selfish of me but I am a little bit proprietary when it comes to good doctors - if I find a doctor who not only has an amazing and compassionate manner AND super knowledgeable in his/her field, I’m a patient for life. I originally went to Dr. He for filler. When I first met him, I couldn’t stop staring at his skin. I wanted my skin to look like his! "I can't believe it took me this long to write a review on Dr. Welsh and Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology. I have been a patient of Dr. Welsh's going on 10 years and I can't imagine seeing anyone else. When I first started going, the office was a lot smaller, but all the expanding hasn't changed the service I get there. Every time I see Dr. Welsh she is so kind and thoughtful, and she has really changed my life. I have had bad cystic acne since around 19, and she openly admitted I had one of the worst cases she had seen. It was painful and heartbreaking and I thought it was hopeless. In the many years I've been going to her, we have worked together until finally finding treatment that worked well, and I am so thankful. I go a few times a year for laser treatments and fillers for residual scarring (shout out to Nurse Mary who is probably the nicest person on the planet and an absolute wizard with lasers, and she genuinely cares about all of her clients). Dr. Welsh has always been considerate of my budget (I'm a nonprofit worker, while I know most of her clients are probably closer to the 1%) and has worked with me when my skin condition needed more for less. I am lucky to have found them so long ago and can't recommend them higher!"

"Dr. Hui Austin is truly one of the best Cosmetic Dermatologists in the country. I cannot say enough good things about her. She is stylish and chic, has an amazing personality and is dedicated to her patients. She is gifted. I have been her patent for the last year or two and have had Botox, various fillers & Kybella and most recently the Novo thread lift. The thread lift results are magnificent. They were almost immediate and have transformed my facial profile. My cheeks and chin line are beautifully defined but also look natural. Dr. Hui Austin combined the thread lift with dermal fillers and I also had a little Botox touch up. I feel so beautiful. I really do. My confidence is through the roof. "I have asymmetrical chin. One side of the face is a little under-developed than the other. As the most noticeable result, the jar line is incoherent at the tip of the chin with left half about 0.5cm smaller than the right. I always thought it would require complicated and intrusive surgery with thousands of $$$ to fix the asymmetry.After consulting with a renowned plastic surgeon Dr. Eshima, I was advised that a simple chin filler procedure will solve the whole problem and Dr. Hui was recommended. Of course, I did a bit of "google research" before going to Dr. Hui's office just to understand the pros and cons of different common materials, such as Juvederm, Radiesse, etc. During my consultation with Dr. Hui, Juvederm Vollure was brought up. Later I found out that just one month ago, Vollure was approved by FDA although it has been used for a long time in Europe. According to Dr. Hui, Vollure has softer texture than Radiesse but last just as long (dissolve in 1-1.5 years). After agreeing on the material and pricing ($850/cc), she and her staff quickly got on their feet and used one syringe on my most needed area. The procedure itself only took about 10 minutes and Dr. Hui was chatting w me casually the whole time to calm my nerve down with all that needle work. Under half an hour, my life long problem was GONE with almost no pain or any scar at all! I was truly amazed! After 2 sessions of 1 cc Vollure and Dr. Hui's magic hands, the chin now looks amazing! It is as symmetrical as it could ever get! (well, nobody has a 100% symmetrical face) It both looks and feels just like a natural born. The thin needle was a bit scary for the first time, but after the expectation was set, it was almost painless when I went in for the 2nd injection. The marks and light bruise at the tip of the chin went away around 5 days. Almost no noticeable bruising at the second visit. I am also impressed by how welcoming the office feels despite of being a clinic. Friendly staff, nicely prepared snack platters and beverage."

Over the course of my life I have experienced that feeling of shame and insecurity because my face looked so messed up that I didn't want people to look at me. And every time, Dr Welsh put my face back together and then some. Which essentially gives you your life back, because you can face the world with confidence and really show up and be present in conversations, instead of tripping out over how how destroyed your face looks.Those are the extreme cases that Dr Welsh has helped me through. Always, she is compassionate, straight up, and comes up with a game plan and a timeline, and doesn't want to stop until whatever the issue is perfectly resolved. Pretty much everything you want when you put your face in someone's hands.Now I am in my late 30s so there are a new bag of things that that can be improved upon that pop up: wrinkles, face and lips losing its fullness, and discoloration (hyperpigmentation). And again, I don't trust anyone to mess with my face, EVER, unless its Dr Welsh or Dr Huy. Dr Welsh is a master at filler because she basically refuses to make you look unnatural. She will make you look refreshed and well-slept, but even if I beg for slightly fuller lips she looks at me and says, "No." That's what you want. Someone who says no. Dr Huy is amazing. At first I felt like I was cheating on Dr Welsh by seeing her as well but she is awesome and just as skilled. I highly recommend you try her, because they have similar approaches and equal skill set. I am so glad I gave her a chance because she is fantastic and she dealt with this discoloration and redness/rosacea problem that started a year ago. Again, she was sweet and supportive, gave me a game plan and a timeline. exactly what you want when you are stressing over something on your face. I love Dr Huy.Everyone who knows me knows that I call Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology "my happy place". Such caring, such professionalism and and attention to detail, such a personalized care regimen that makes you feel like you are in the right hands and you can relax and there is light at the end of the tunnel. She and along with her awesome, very polite and super knowledgeable assistant, Ariana, will service your skin needs in an unparalleled manner. I am all about one thing, which is results. Before meeting with Dr. Hui I used countless creams, injections, peels, facials, etc.,etc.! As a result of so many failed attempts at fixing my scars and pigmentation I started to research, which lead me to Dr. Hui. Meeting with Dr. Hui was unrushed, which encouraged me to fully explain my history, unlike other dermatologist that gives you less then five minutes to explain. I did not want any more creams or facials being that none of that worked, which I made clear to Dr. Hui who completely understood. After talking with Dr Hui we settled on a treatment program, which included the V-Beam, Juvederm Ultra Plus, CO2 laser and subcision, lighting pads and ONE Retin-A cream. "Dr. Andrea Hui is the best dermatologist I have ever been to on every level. She is kind, extremely knowledgeable and supremely skilled. Before I was even a patient of Dr. Hui's she actually advised me on the questions I should ask other dermatologists before I began getting botox, and filler. She has been my dermatologist for about 3 years now and I can honestly say my face and skin are exactly where I want them to be.
I am now 34 years and I originally went to see Dr. Hui because I was starting to get the "I look tired even when I'm not tired" look under my eyes - I was also beginning to lose fullness in my cheeks. What I love about going to Dr. Hui is that her work is so subtle you see YOU not filler or botox. She has done wonders with subtly filling in under my eyes and filling out my cheeks just enough to get rid of the pesky little smile lines. Hui, a board-certified Dermatologist, who is a member of Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology.I have seen Dr. Hui two times for Restylane and Botox treatments, and I am very satisfied with her work. Dr. Hui has studied art, and she is a concert pianist: her artistic background is reflected in her dermatology practice. She is a perfectionist with artistic sensitivity. I have seen a couple of other physicians for fillers, and I can say that Dr. Hu is the best by far. She has a great eye for knowing just where to use fillers to highlight your features. These past procedures were not only painful but ineffective. The treatment I received from Dr. Hui was amazing. She used a combination of Radiesse, Juvederm, and Belotero. She was able to literally sculpt my face to give me a close to symmetrical appearance. Her cannula technique, which is a long needle with a round tip, was nearly painless. Past procedures where a regular needle was used were extremely painful and much less effective. The Radiesse was used to fill in where I had a lack of bone structure, this product has lasted more than a year already. Juvederm Was used in the softer areas where I had a lack of fat in my cheeks and lips. The Belotero was put in under my eyes to fill in any hollows and helped with the dark appearance I had. "69 Year Old Woman Looking Her Age - Brooklyn, NY - Dr. Hui exudes competence and calm and is also very friendly and pleasant to be with. She starts by having you look into a mirror and describe what areas you think need attention and how you would like them to improve. Then throughout the sessions she has you continue to look at yourself in the mirror to see if you're satisfied with how things are going. She, herself, is constantly backing away to evaluate the filler to make sure that both sides of your face will look the same and to decide where she will do the next filler placement.
