Katie received her undergraduate degree in nursing from Sonoma State University and has been providing excellent service as a Registered Nurse (RN) since 1991. Her clinical nursing career ranges from post-neurosurgical to post-orthopedic care. She entered the world of cosmetic dermatology in 2001 by working for a mobile cosmetic laser company that contracted with physicians all over Northern California, where she connected with Dr. Welsh, the director of the company. Dr. Welsh invited Katie to join her private cosmetic dermatology practice, Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology, in San Francisco in 2005. Her extensive experience in not only the medical field, but also the dermatology industry allows Katie to serve each patient with a high level of confidence and expertise, offering knowledge of the practice and procedures. Katie was born in Berkeley, CA and is married with a set of twins. She feels so lucky to have both a family and a job she loves.
Katie and Bianca were great! I was a bit apprehensive about having Fraxel, but the prep was excellent (I was very numb), and there was very little pain. They answered all of my questions, and sent me home with detailed aftercare instructions.
