Dr. Welsh is renowned for her mastery of injecting skin fillers, such as Juvéderm and Restylane, as well as wrinkle relaxers, like BOTOX and Dysport. Dr. Welsh is recognized as one of the first physicians to offer Juvéderm Voluma injections after participating in the clinical trials and is also one of a handful of Allergan’s Black Diamond status providers (the highest level in the country). Prior to establishing her private practice, Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology, in 2000, Dr. Kathleen Welsh served as the director of cosmetic dermatology and as the chief of dermatology for The Permanente Medical Group’s Kaiser Foundation Health Plan in San Francisco. During that time, she established and directed The Permanente Cosmetic Dermatology program, which is now used as a model for similar programs nationwide.

Dr. Welsh lives in San Francisco with her husband, an emergency physician. She enjoys being in nature, skiing, and kite boarding. Dr. Welsh is active in the TIBA Foundation, a non-profit organization that supplies quality healthcare to people living in rural Kenya. She is also an ardent supporter of She Can, a non-profit organization that provides college education for women in Rwanda, Cambodia, and Liberia. Dr. Welsh just completed another Skin Cancer Take a Hike, an annual event sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology that helps to fund free skin cancer screenings and more in underserved communities.
Dr. Kathleen Welsh is a highly-educated physician, receiving training from some of the most prestigious institutions in the country. Dr. Welsh received her medical degree from Harvard Medical School and then completed an internal medicine residency at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. She completed her residency in dermatology at Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. Welsh is board-certified in both internal medicine and dermatology.
I've been looking for an amazing dermatologist, and Dr. He is so him! Dr. He removed red spots from my face, and he also removed a really bad looking big growth on my back. Somehow this magician did it all in a flash and without leaving any scaring at all. I know a little bit about the industry--I managed Tenaya Med Spa for years. I sometimes have former clients ask me who I now recommend, and up until I visited Dr. He and Dr. Welsh, I didn't know what to say. But wow, I sure do now--to experience is to believe. Dr. He's no-rush kindness and skill level is the best of the best. Even better than the best! It's so comforting to know that such elite dermatology exists in San Francisco, and especially from such a nice person like Dr. He.

I've been going to Dr Welsh for over 30 years and quite often get complimented on how much younger I look than 77. Always asked who my doctor is. Dr Welsh and all of her staff are absolutely The Best! Caring, professional, and pioneers on treatments that really do make a difference in the way one feels when gazing into a mirror. I wish the the scale for the number of stars on this review would be 10. But even then I'd have to add a plus sign after that "score".
