Charles Maxwell Weddington, MD, is a board-certified dermatologist new to San Francisco. Prior to joining Bay Area Cosmetic Dermatology, Dr. Weddington was an assistant professor with the University of Maryland Department of Dermatology, where he served as section head for cosmetic and aesthetic dermatology services, taught medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology to residents and medical students, and saw in-hospital consults at University of Maryland Medical Center. He specializes in combining treatments with injectable neuromodulators, biostimulators, hyaluronic acid fillers, and lasers to achieve natural-looking results that keep your skin looking younger, longer.
Dr. Weddington is an ASDS fellowship-trained cosmetic dermatologist, acquiring his knowledge of lasers at the Maryland Dermatology Laser Skin and Vein Institute under the mentorship of Dr. Robert Weiss and Dr. Margaret Weiss.
Originally from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Dr. Weddington obtained his Medical Doctorate at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, then trained for two years in general internal medicine at Loyola University Medical Center and the affiliated Hines VA hospital outside Chicago, Illinois, before moving to Baltimore, Maryland for dermatology residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center and Baltimore VA hospital. His undergraduate studies in biochemistry and English literature were at Washington University in Saint Louis.
When not in the clinic or practicing his diaper-changing skills, Dr. Weddington enjoys exploring new places with his wife, spending time in nature, tracking financial markets, and reading to learn new things.
Dr Weddington has been seeing my teenage son for acne and he is amazing! He gives us plenty of time and addresses all concerns.
